In what was a "GREAT" basketball game, broadcast live on Fox West TV Tuesday night, #4 ranked Arizona escaped with a narrow 3 point victory over Louisiana's Ragin Cajuns. The Wildcats hit a 3 point basket with only 11 seconds remaining in the game and then the Cajuns missed a 3 pointer with 2 seconds left. With the win, Arizona captures the championship of the Fiesta Bowl Classic hosted by the University of Arizona.

Congratulations! Everybody knows about the talent accumulated down there in Lafayette. But questions abound concerning the "character" of your team, coach included.

    Dave, welcome to GrumpyLand.

Congrats on a strong game. The Cajuns seem to have put the loss of Southall behind them and forged ahead. When we got a chance to see Southall up close for the NIT game in 2002 I remember thinking what great potential he had. Tremendous basketball body, the entire package. Then I remember he really didn't compete very well against Tech's big guys. Now it looks as if his college career may be over, huh? He has been a great disappointment.

Congradulations on losing the game against a highly overrated team.

I used to live in Tucson, and in the 15+ years I have been following the Cats, I dont think they have ever lost a game in the Classic. Why? Because they only schedule teams they can beat.

Happy New Year Cajun Dave! :P
