What's going on? No DC hired yet, no recent recruit commitments that I know of, what's the holdup in Ruston? Are we on vacation? Is it still NCAA "quiet time" ?
We're being told by a guy close to the coaching staff that we are basically full on committments. There are a couple of positions where we are weighing which player to offer, and evidently we have several options open to us.
It sounds good, but you never know.
For whatever reason, our coaches choose to keep most commitments a secret until they are officially signed.
It looks like we are getting to the "full" point much earlier than most years. We'll have to wait awhile to know most of the names.
There were three more names -- juco players -- in the Shreveport paper today.
As mentioned before, our class this year will be pretty heavy on juco players -- it looks like the coaches are making a commitment to get better in a hurry. Some criticize this strategy, but frankly if it makes us better next year, especially on defense, I'm for it. I can't stomach many more games watching the opponents light us up like a Christmas tree. The big question is: will jucos make us better right away? For a juco to come in and make an immediate impact he needs to be with us for the spring, and he needs to be a quick learner.

He has no integrity and has lot all respect with alot of people and anyone associated with the program realizes that...
I will support the kids and the program, but I will not make excuses for him and his staff...
Like I said - it is called "stealth" recruiting...
It's kind of like of those "stealth" wins he proclaimed in the paper...

8O Speaking of "hunting for WABBITS". How about our latest JUCO CB verbal? He is listed at 5' 8" (probably more like 5'6") and 165 lbs (probably 155 lbs). This will be interesting. Maybe he runs a 4.27 40 who knows! " A HUNTING WE WILL GO.. A HUNTING WE WILL GO!"
I don't care if he runs a 3.0 40, unless he's Spud Webb every 6'+ WR is going to go right over him!
