I am hearing from reliable sources within and outside of Tech that are saying that the member schools in C-USA voted and LA Tech did not get in. I do not know exactly what the vote was but that UH voted for LA Tech and Tulane and USM did not.

Congrats on the first post . . .
LOL
Since there is no word that TCU is leaving for CUSA, there is no vote yet by CUSA. I love how many reliable sources are around these days.
I would not doubt this being accurate -
All my information the past few weeks has had our odds as "iffy" at best -
However - this would have been a "straw" poll on what the AD's would have suggested to the Presidents, but usually they act accordingly with the AD's...
And yes the CUSA AD's met in Dallas yesterday and are meeting again today...
And yes an INFORMAL vote was taken on the expansion candidate FRONT RUNNER if TCU should leave...
Some of ya'll need to realize that we are teetering on a very dangerous edge right now - and our administrations lack of commitment may finally becoming home to roost...
If the information is correct that the preferred school is Temple, I wouldn't count us out just yet.
Will Temple really sacrifice all their basketball tradition and rivalries for the sake of a football program that may not make it anyway?

Notice his joined date January 19, 2003. I'm a old BBB from the old web site. I just found out how to retrieve by password that I had forgoten. But these facts are "WRONG". Probably a recruiter from another school.
MEMDAWG is not a flamer!!
Just a Techster fan.
No, I meant "the_truth" . I still trying to learn how to respond on this forum.
sorry
CD -
I hope you are correct - but he has the votes pretty close to what I was given Saturday nite on how the AD's were expected to vote...

I had also heard that the AD's were going to meet and one of the topics was a replacement for TCU in case they do leave. UH, Tulane, SMU, TU, and Rice were supposed to be votes for us. So the truth may be telling the truth. I see no reason for calling him a flamer just because what he is saying is not what we want to hear. I will just be glad when all this crap settles and we can get down to the business of trying to figure out how to win football games again.
I agree oledawg66 -
We had better be able to handle the bad news if and when it comes -
Mainly because the odds are that the news will be bad...
We had also better be ready to swallow some pride if we don't get into CUSA - because the "new" WAC will not be a realistic option for long...
