I'd sure hate to see us run back to the SunBelt, but know that the WAC with the new configuration is going to kill us even worse. We put all of our eggs into the CUSA basket, and if it doesn't work out I don't like the picture I'm seeing at all!

Man, Dwayne..... Not very cheery today are you? :comp:
I don't see any need to panic right now. Actually, there is nothing we can do from this board anyway. We either make it and celebrate or don't make it and figure out the best solution fast.
Nothing to do but wait right now, though.
Another thing....
Do all of you realize that not one single prediction or statement has come true regarding this board and the whole TCU/MWC/CUSA/Tech trade around since all of this started. We heard from different posters and, even, press that it would be "next week" "tomorrow" "next month" etc... for a couple of months now. What makes some of us eager to believe the first real negative prediction or statement about it?
However, let's not be too giddy if the news is bad ie... "I told you so". You have always cut to the bottom line and are usually correct DWAYNE and that is good. We will handle the bad news, if it comes, in our own separate ways  but the method above will be enjoyed by few on this board. Again, you are almost always correct and have forewarned us plenty of times how this might play out.Originally Posted by Dwayne From Minden
I do disagree in that the "new" WAC will have to be and will be a viable option (add UNT and ULL if needed I guess). IMHO, the Sunbelt is not, at least for what I envision for my beloved University. I know you do not want this either.
I think Dwayne is suffering from lack of sleep and waking up every 3 hours at night! ;O)
listen the Athletic directors meet thursday to interview the candidates for Defensive Coordinator. I am sure we will find out something about that come friday but I heard we may be holding out for Neinas in case things don't pan out with CUSA. I am sure we will know more about both after this meeting.
I have been saying since day 1 that CUSA will screw over us once again so I reserve that right.Originally Posted by "TYLERTECHSAS
We need to start talking to the MAC. Geographically sucks, but what's new?
At least the MAC will be around in 2006.
OK, I'll bite. what the he**'s a "Neinas"?Originally Posted by rphdawg
This is probably true. I remember those days well. Although my wife might say that I don't because I kept on sleeping. WRONG!Originally Posted by Choudawg86
yes, I was living it myself what seems like just yesterday, but in truth was 8 months ago.

Isn't a "Neinas" similar to a "Henway"?
That's four short of what is needed. Takes nine for CUSA to expand.Originally Posted by oledawg66

I can't imagine USM nor UAB relishing the idea of going to Philly either. Marshall would pull for Philly-based Temple, but I have no idea where Memphis or UCF would stand.
If geography is the deciding factor, it may be just as convenient for UCF to go to Philly as it would be to go to Ruston.
