Actually, if you go to some of the individual school boards, such as Marshall, ECU, Memphis, and USM there is not nearly so much Tech bashing, and even some support, as on the C-USA boards. There sems to be a core group on those C-USA boards led by the Marshall guy from Lafayette and our old flamer ,organizer (he seems to have registered under about 5 or 6 different names), that are constantly hammering us with distorted facts or outright lies.

    CUSU NEWS:
I got a chance to listen to an interview with TCU athletic director Eric Hyman on the merits of the move to the Mountain West. He made some good points for the move, including the power ratings. He said forget CUSA as we know it. Let's call the new conference with Tulane,Rice,Houston,SMU,Tulsa, etc. the 'American South Conference'. Which conference would you choose if you had a choice between the Mountain West or the American South? He said a committee hired BCS type computer geeks to figure out the power rankings. The committee reported that if TCU had been in the Mountain West in 2003, this conference would have been the fourth most powerful conference in the country, ahead of the Pac 12,Big East, and the ACC. Hyman feels that this league will get involved with the BCS in the future, while the 'American South' has no chance. He also said the CUSA lost their most influential members.

That IS quite a SPIN. I'm glad they did justify leaving so we have a chance to get in.

Did he have an explanation for why they lost to the only two good teams they played all year?

I think the usual cast of Tech FLAMERS from the WAC board are disguising themselves on that board
I will go a step further on this. There are many many people on that board from the East Belch that have something to gain by us staying out of CUSA. They are disguising themselves as CUSA fans. There is not NEAR the amount of aversion that it looks like.
