This spells it out in all of its gory detail so those of you who were salivating at the thought of Tech being the lone 1-A team because of these new requirements will have to wait until at least 2015 for that to be the case.

"The Razorbacks and Indians will play in 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2012 at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock, Ark. As part of the agreement, Louisiana-Monroe will technically be designated as the home team for NCAA reporting purposes."

IMHO this is a brilliant move by ULM.

Look for this loophole to be closed in some fashion by the NCAA.

Remember "Dr." Bob Lane's "24" hours in a summer session to become eligible to play after transfering?

That loophole won't be closed. Makes too much economic sense for the BCS boys. Since the new criteria was adopted game guarantees have doubled. Agree to play a road game at home against someone wanting to secure their attendance numbers and they'll come in for less money.

Yeah they are really going to close a loophole that saves them money.

Game guarantees have NOT doubled...if they had, we be getting $1 million for our games at BCS school...and we aren't! I love "matter of fact" people from Arkansas...you guys think if you say it loud enough and often enough, it will become fact!
I'm an asshole! What's your excuse?

$750,000 is the reported number for our games at Auburn and Tennessee.

    So they haven't quite doubled.

how embarrassing for ULM's players, coaches, fans and alumni.....too sink to this pathetic level to stay alive in D1A football....what a joke

i really feel sorry for the people associated with that university

A home game not even in your own state??????????????????????????????

    how freakin sad

now ULMers - you might say well you play in Shreveport - but think about that LONG AND HARD before you make yourself look stupid.

Maybe not but someone buys their season tickets because they know it supports the athletic program.

Sorry CHC, but I've written three checks for Tech athletics (baseball and tennis) this month - what about you? I support the "program" more specifically these days.

I wonder how they pitch that to the recruits. "We're playing a home game 200 miles away in another state because we don't have any fans of our own."

Although technically a ULM home game, Arkansas will handle all game management arrangements including coordinating ticket sales. All the games in the series will be included in the respective Arkansas season ticket packages.

Will this game even be included in ULM's home season ticket package?

Surely Arkansas gets something else out of this deal. Gate receipts, perhaps?
