This was posted on the Tulane board, came from some rag:
Seven of the thirteen in-state schools have a chance to make the postseason. The top two are definite Omaha contenders.
From one to thirteen, they stack up this way in the preseason:
1. LSU : Could win it all. SEC, Hoover, Omaha.
2. Tulane : Strong pitching should lead them to CUSA crown.
3. Louisiana-Lafayette : Finished strong in 2003, will it carry over?
4. Northwestern State : Gaspard's team is a year older.
5. Louisiana-Monroe : Always competive, can they get back to a Regional this season?
6. Southern - Despite heavy personnel losses, Southern will be good.
7. McNeese State - After a strong 2003 finish, the Cowboys look to control the Southland with a new sheriff.
8. New Orleans - The Privateers have some talent and should be improved from a year ago.
9. Louisiana Tech - Last in the WAC a year ago but should be better.
10. Southeastern Louisiana - Coach Dan Canevari's squad could make a move this season.
11. Nicholls State - Always good for an upset, Nicholls looks to knock off some more favorites this year.
12. Centenery - Joins the Mid-Continent this year.
13. Grambling - Hoping to keep pace with Southern in the SWAC is a tough task.
