RUSTON - Louisiana Tech's first round NCAA Tournament game against the Montana Grizzlies of the Big Sky Conference Saturday will tip-off 30 minutes after the completion of the Texas Tech vs. Maine game that will start at 8 p.m. CST.
With all 63 games of this year's tournament being televised, the approximate tip-off time set for Tech's contest is 10:15 p.m. CST but obviously depends on how long the first game in Missoula, Montana lasts.
Louisiana Tech's first round game is set to be televised on ESPN2.
Game times for second round games won't be announced until the completion of the first rounds at that site.
ESPN and ESPN2 will be showing all of the action from the women's tournament for the second straight year as all 63 games are being produced. According to a memo sent out by the NCAA on Monday, ESPN plans to televise the game of local interest in the home markets. While constant updates from around the country will be provided, the networks, for the most part, will not switch to another game during live action, thereby establishing home market protection.
In non home markets, the network plans to "whiparound" to the best action from different games for viewers in most of the nation. Viewers who want all early-round games in their entirety can receive them through ESPN Full Court, the out-of-market pay-per-view package. ESPN Full Court is available to cable and satellite customers.
