AMEN!
AMEN!
Time for these Lady Techsters to stop living off the past accomplishments of the program. Make your own history and stop tanking in the early rounds.
Which equates into about as much publicity as the University of Chicago gets out of their football NC from the pre 1930's...
Like I've said and others that are much older and wiser than I am have said - let football, baseball or men's basketball be the "apple" of the President's eye and that program is no better than NWSt's women's program -
One thing about FJ Taylor - he EXPECTED and DEMANDED winning in all aspects of the TECH athletic program - its pretty obvious where Dr Reneau's loyalties lie...
It's "nice" to have a good women's program, but that's about it...
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
No, it is AWESOME to have a great wbb program. It would be awesome to have the others do as well. Winning is about attitude and coaching added with the talent. It doesn't take money to win contrary to popular belief. It takes money to market. That is something that all of our programs could benefit from.
Why can't we all be proud of who we are and from where we come? I try my best to support all teams -- men and women -- and am happy for any success any of them have. In light of Mr. Jack Bicknell's coninuing meltdown, the women have been a welcomed bright spot in an ever toughening environment.
If Jack Bicknell would arrange a visit with Gordo (or one of his country cousins) before drawing up some of those God awful game plans, he might meet with better success on the field. Hell, Jack Bicknell could probably get some Wild Thing from leftover sensimilla that we used to grow across from JAS along the railroad tracks. Take me home, country road!
Dwayne, you just proved my point. At least you're familiar with the University of Chicago teams. Now...quick.....tell me who played in the Sweet 16 in the pre 1930's?? HAHA! :lol:Originally Posted by Dwayne From Minden

Yes, sort of like the bball teams of Duke and North Carolina.... Wonder where they are now? OH, that's right...... They are still making headlines and their names are known. I guess winning a NC or getting to the FF every year don't wipe your name out of the history books, especially when you are still an elite program that is a threat.
And that is why the "Big Girl" teams (except for one) HATE and will NOT play in the TAC against our TECHSTERS!
