Nearly all of the Conf USA schools have nice football stadiums to play compared to Tech's Joe Aillet. No jumbtron. I have seen Texas High Schools with better stadiums. The baseball parking lot looks like one for a circle k. Of course the TAC is nice, but even it could use some touchups.....new floor, scoreboard etc.
UTEP is the leading candidate and they WILL be the choice. Lying to myself will not change that and perhaps you others should realize that. Yes OUR program here at Tech is better than UTEP from Top to Bottom but if Conf USA cared about that , we would have been selected with or before SMU, Rice, and Tulsa. The clear care is about market and the POTENTIAL to gain a meaningful piece of those markets.
Tech does not offer that option with Ruston having a population of 20000 and that's when school is in! Shreveport and Monroe doesn't give a rat's ass about TECH and that really really hurts. However, that's Tech's fault and no one else's.
