In the five regionals that the committee slated SEC teams against #1 ACC hosts - the ACC went a combined 15-1 in those regionals...

That doesn't mean that an SEC team won't win it all, but it does lend credence to my point that the ACC was stronger this year

Fair enough, I'm not saying the ACC is not #1 overall. I will say if that is true then the SEC is a very close #2 and it comes down to how individual teams play, not what conference patch is on their sleeves.

Tried to watch as much baseball as I could last week and plan to this week. Did anyone notice that, outside of center field, Arkansas has very similar dimensions to the Love Shack? Seems a lot of parks are close, with the major difference being the right center alley and center. We hit a bunch of pop flies and I like others attribute that to us trying to hit the ball out of our short(ish) park. At least it seems that is the sentiment. Is it our park encouraging that? Or is our park actually pretty similar to most others and out hitting approach is just not elite?

I don't think that our park dimensions are that far off from other parks across the country

I think our approach suffers some (especially when we hit multiple HRs in a game) - but our numbers were good through out the year in run production, lot of times we put 6 or 7 runs up with nothing leaving the park

The one thing about our park is that at certain times of the day (afternoon games) - the ball JUMPS like it has been shot out of a cannon to left and left center, add a slight NW wind and it can get crazy

Add in the fact that the ball was JUICED this year also, they are talking about a correction on that next year

Yeppers! the ACC is looking strong. Already three, UNC, UVA, and FSU, have punched their tickets to Omaha. NC State is very likely to join them, and Clemson might too. From the SEC no one has earned a berth in Omaha...yet. I think Tennessee, Texas A&M, and Kentucky will, but they haven't yet. Florida might if they can finish off Clemson.

K State and WVU, winners of the regionals with CUSA participation, were a combined 0-4 in the super regionals.

Think about how much stronger and more cohesive WVU and KSU played and looked than us. And they went 0-4 at a super. Our coach is the eternal optimist and many of us can be too, but he has to see the amount of separation between really good teams and just regional qualifiers. What can be done so that we are up there with Evansville, East Carolina, and Coastal? At least year in and out, those “small” schools have a shot of breaking through.

Florida 11 Clemson 10 in 13 innings, the game of the entire playoffs, so far. Over 5 hours, more things occurring in this one game than in any 6 games combined. An instant classic. UF the first SEC team to reach Omaha. Willie Mays move over! an incredible catch by the CF with the game on the line. Great game!

The catch was by the Clemson CF btw, after he hit a game- tying 3 HR in the top of the 9th.

That was just a fabulous game -

Would of been even better if the umps hadn't kept wanting to make it about them

They were extremely biased towards FLA in my opinion

Some number of the umps are probably already in service to the SEC or would like to be. The SEC controls pretty much everything in one way or another and this game was no different.
