HOUSTON -- The president of Rice University plans on fighting former heavyweight boxing champ George Foreman in a bout for charity.
"I look to come out of this with nothing but the satisfaction of having been in the ring with a world champion," Malcolm Gillis told the Houston Chronicle. "I'm trying to show that old people can do these things. We can dust off old skills and use them again."
Gillis, 63, has been negotiating for a few months with the 55-year-old Foreman for a bout in the ring.
Foreman's last fight was in 1997, when he lost to Shannon Briggs.
