Bulldog links in draft

Brad Chedister .... yes, THAT Brad Chedister ... was the only Bulldog selected in Monday and Tuesday's first-year player draft. He went in the 37th round to Houston. However, Matt Varner ... who was supposed to be the ace of last year's staff before transferring to Houston ... was picked in the 10th or 11th round.

Dylan Moseley, a 6-4, 185 RHP from Texarkana, was selected in the 33rd round by the Reds. Moseley is a verbal to the Bulldogs and is supposed to send in his papers within the next couple of days.

Justin Glover, a 6-1, 220 1B from Westside, Ark., was picked in the 46th round by the Reds. Justin is supposed to walk on for the Bulldogs next year.

Jerrylee Scott, a 6-1, 180 SS from Vidalia, was picked in the 50th round by the Devil Rays. Scott has signed to play football for the Bulldogs. He hasn't expressed any interest in playing baseball for Tech, but Sim is going to contact him and Bick to see if something can be worked out. Supposed to be a heckuvan athlete..
