Does anyone know why this kid hasn't signed anywhere else?

Also, why did the 2 guys leave the team that were mentioned?

Now if he can just keep them here. Only 1 HS recruit returning from last year's signing class that was decent and projectable. Can't be starting over each year. Hope for more continuity with future recruits.

Cobb was signed, hoping he can play center field immediately. The job was to be Texada's, but after playing summer ball in Baton Rouge this summer he impressed LSU enough that they asked him to walk on. His girlfriend is at LSU. Nuff said.

That they don't want to work, that is something that Sim will not put up with. If they are sorry off the field, they ain't gonna be a bulldawg. Other coaches need to take note of him.

i sent sim a list of the all state arkansas team back in may or june. since then he has signed a kid from texarkana, ar and ashdown, ar.

im pretty sure both guys were on the list and i highlighted all of the kids that were one to two hours from ruston.

im sure he was already on these kids but i like to think i helped.

After doing that he had awarded the job to Texada, but I already explained what happened there. That left us needing a center fielder. Cobb heard that and called to say he could still come. He had signed to play JC ball. Wade was in need and took him. He thinks Cobb will be a good player, but he is, of course, nervous about going into the season with a true freshman center fielder.

Who was the guy he let go who platooned in center last year? I can't recall his name. Why did he let him go, if you can go into it?

I'm glad he was let go then to make room for someone else w/ a great work ethic. But if he platooned, doesn't that mean he was good? Anyway, I know Sim doesn't put up w/ laziness.

Coach Simoneaux meets with every player at the end of the season to talk about a lot of things. During the course of those interviews, he asks the players if they think anyone on the team has a bad attitude that they don't let show around the coaches. Every once in awhile an overwhelming percentage of the players point out someone who fits that description.
