uhhhhhhhh, when is tech moving back to Div2A, think they would have held Auburn to 10 points much less scored? LMAO, you sure seem calm, I guess ignorance is bliss isn't it.Originally Posted by TIGGERHATER

am I the only one that see's the irony in these LSU hatin' threads? These guys canabilize their own institution, football team, football coach, etc and then have the unmitigated gall to criticize LSU. LMAO!!!!
Just follow the yellow bellied trail to the Football section and examine 9 out of ten threads .... man, this is great entertainment. Like watching a car wreck or seeing the dumbasses that are always interviewed after a tornado and their trailer is wiped out.

To those people, remember it's important to have your thoughts together before you start typing. Try to sound articulate. You don't want to sound whiny in front of your fellow Louisianaians - they've got more important things to do like deciding on quarterback JaMarcus Randall or whatever (65% completion if you add the two of them together).
I believe the post started with "I don't know you from Adam". You don't read too good do you? Right me and everyone else who brings good points up as ignorant generalizers when you don't have a good answer to the posts. I'm sorry you feel so offended, but I believe you are on a Tech board in a particular section about LSU people in our forums. You dodge issues better than John Kerry.
so you have a penchant for the Kerry "flip-flop" like the "I voted for the $87MM before I voted against it?" Kind of like your "I don't know you from Adam ... but I will insult you anyway" Kind of two fisted there isn't it?Originally Posted by johnnylightnin

tg/tf - Congrats on the big win Saturday. I only wish we could have been able to play MSU this season
Tech will score more than 9 points on Auburn in 2 weeks. It's my prediction.
Perhaps we could bet a beer on it next time I'm up in BR
I'll buy you a beer if Tech scopres more than 9 points ... be glad to in fact.

While the tailgate parties at LSU are awesome, that's about it. Sure, its a great stadium. For the majority, the fans who are actually educated, are some of the nicest you will meet. But its sorta like living in Dallas and having the COWBOYS pounded into your head everyday by media. The majority of the fans are nice enough..I just ended up disliking the whole Dallas Cowboy franchise (a team I USED to love in the 80's as a kid) because of all the overexposure they get. No offense Cowboys fans. Just as I did LSU. Sorry. Just didn't see where they were 'GOD' because they're the state school. Guess that's why I went to LA Tech. Roots a little humbler...I actually had a face there. Loved it.
LSU is overexposed in Louisiana. Bottom line. La Tech will never be LSU. But honestly? This fan doesn't it want La Tech to be like LSU. This fan wants it to stand apart from the overexposure that LSU encounters in the LA media. This fan wants to see La Tech be BETTER than that. As a matter of fact, this fan thinks my school IS better than LSU. Because there's something that LA Tech Fans have that LSU fans will never have--a real closeness that LSU fans couldn't possibly understand. I'm not taking away from LSU'S fanbase. I'm just stating a fact. Being the No. 2 school in the state has is pros, believe it or not.
As far as the ONLY thing La Tech is good for is being 'Home To Terry Bradshaw"? My dear, dear friend...Maybe I should mention a couple of other Tech Alums/attendees who are NOT Terry Bradshaw? Some you'll know, some only certain areas of LA will know. Yeah, I'll go ahead and clarify for ya.
It is also home to Karl Malone, Karl Malone's WNBA playin' daughter, PJ Brown, Matt Stovall, Chris Boniol, Wayne Watson, Trace Adkins, Tracy Lawrence, to a couple of Miss Louisiana's, Kim Mulkey, Teresa Weatherspoon, Jennifer White, Leon Barmore, CL Johnson (who played on the Louisiana Tech University Basketball Freshman Team WAY back when), Jimmy Johnson for at least a year or two as he started his coaching career at La Tech and won, hmm, how many Super Bowls as the HEAD COACH for The DALLAS COWBOYS? (And just HOW many LSU, former or present, head or assistant coaches, can claim that? ) OH and let's see..let's not forget Coach Slaughter AND His sons..and they ALL played for Tech and they belong to the fraternity of LA Tech football players who helped GET this team where it is today for Div I-A purposes? And what about the Wyly's? As in Wyly Tower..as in the SAME Wyly's (two of the richest men in this country) who were educated at Tech and have a building or two named after them in this country? I can name SEVERAL other people to this ever-growing list, but I guess the most important home its been to is...US! It is or was Home to...US!! WE made that campus great with our presence.
LSU has who. Shaq? "LSU: Home of Shaq". Dr Billy Cannon, my former dentist, who played for LSU and went to jail? "LSU: Home Of Cannon". Ok. And you know what? So what. You should really be asking yourself one question: Do you really want to have LSU broken down and catagorized by celebrity the way you've done very unsucessfully to Tech? Nah, you wouldn't. So, maybe, sir, we should avoid doing that to our respective schools. Its showing an inferiority complex on your part whenever you ASSume that we only have one person who ever mattered to Tech. I've obviously blown your "Home To One Person" theory out of the water. Of course this is not intended as a 'slight' to you. Just a MERE observation.
SO...care to keep thinking its just home to ONE alum? Or would you like me to continue on with my 'list of HOME TO's'? I didn't think so.
That foot in mouth disease Techgrad/Tigerfan...bad stuff, that stuff.
If I've misspelled anything guys, forgive me. I'm tired and its late.
Mia

don't worry, pointing out spelling errors is poor form
You really should get some rest and re-read my posts. I never slighted La Tech in my threads, my reference to Tech as being only recognized as "the home of Terry Bradshaw" was merely in response to someone else's post as that is what THEY posted. He slighted LSU as only being know for Billy Cannon.
Why do people from Tech feel the need to justify themselves against LSU? It is not a valid argument, LSU is bigger, has more numbers and more $$$. Right wrong or indifferent that is the way it is.
I like your approach, make Tech better ... unlike you, most that post here feel that they make Tech look better (and themselves) by tearing down LSU.

If Osama were killed/captured tomorrow, would you be pleased tgtf?
Would that mean you are jealous of al-Qaeda?
Look ... we dont freaking like you (lsu). We dont have to have reason. And we dont have to justify it to you or anybody.
I don't care if you like me (LSU) or not ... Get over it, if you notice, I didn't start this thread, one of YOUR illustrious site memebrs did.Originally Posted by Champ967
