    Wrought Iron Fence Project

Just curious about how this campaign is going. I'd hate for this thing to stall out, its such a worth while project. We really need to see this one through.

I doubt that BB&B'ers got to the $10,000 amount. But I want to get this project funded and off the ground, and even if its one brick at a time.

    Re: Wrought Iron Fence Project

www.capitalareachamps.com should have the updated amount and a good portion of it was donated by people who are members of BB&B.

nad... the CACers raised over $500 at the ULL game and they worked very hard in the heat on the asphalt. Why the need to kick a dead horse?

    Got this email this morning:

The project has now been approved by the state fire marshal and can proceed forward. The current plan is to start construction in November (after football season) and be complete by the end of January. The new fence will start on the northwest end of the field house and run along the existing street to the north end of the stadium. We plan to have drawings of the project available this weekend at the Fresno game.

Tech has worked with local suppliers to keep cost down and they are working this project with a fencing project at JC Love that is helping to get better pricing for both projects. The cost for the JAS fence alone are expected to be 20-25K. To date we have raised $11,565 towards our $20,000 goal. Once our chapter makes the contribution from the jambalaya fundraiser, the total will be $12,000. Thanks to everyone who came by and ate with us and to everyone who has contributed to this project!!

Capital Area CHAMPS would like to raise enough money to cover as much of the cost as possible, so we plan to keep the fundraising effort going. You can keep up with the total, future fundraisers and status of the project at www.capitalareachamps.com. Please come by and visit us (in tailgate alley) and help by continuing to spread the word about the project. Its a great project to honor a great Tech fan and we still want to reach our goal!!
