According to weather.com...there is about a 50% chance of rain at the time of kickoff tomorrow. Looks like a muddy homecoming!

At least it's the last game of the year at Ailet. If we tear the field up it won't matter. Personally a little rain won't bother me. I hope it doesn't hurt our team playing on a wet field. Anyway, Let's rock!
I would guess that rain would hurt UTEP more than us. Not much chance to get used to it in El Paso.
If it rains, it will definitely be to our advantage. Utep likes to throw and I doubt they've had much experience playing on a "real" wet field. I predict Palmer will throw 3 INT's today and one of 'em will be returned for a TD.
I hope it doesn't rain, I think a wet field hurts us more than them. It limits the moves Moats can make and makes it more difficult for a db to cover a receiver.
Have you ever tried to catch a wet football?Originally Posted by boxerdog
Let it rain, as long as we protect the football. We don't need to start fumbling. We are already experienced enough at dropping several passes a game. Maybe the addition of water will help receivers concentrate better at catching. You never know.
The humidity will be up which I think should be to our advantage. It sure helped to tap Fresno's strength. I'm hoping we run the Miners back and forth from sideline to sideline, run deep routes whether we throw it there or not...all to zap there energy.
Once we have a good lead (14+ points) let the rain begin. That should do it for a 31-20 Dawg victory.
Any reports from Ruston? What does it look like over there now? It is 10:45 and in Shreveport it looks like the bottom could drop out of the sky at any moment.
Moving to the East/North East
IT IS GOING TO RAIN. IT IS JUST A MATTER OF WHEN!
Light drizzle at my house (in Ruston).
from my limited experience, wet weather usually gives the advantage to the offense, run or pass, so it doesn't really favor either team.Originally Posted by TECH88

having listened to the first quarter, i retract my previous post. this could be a defensive struggle. when was the last time we saw one of those at Aillet!
