Three good reasons why Bicknell shouldn't be the Tech head coach any longer. As the thread continues try not to duplicate any answers - which shouldn't be difficult at all.

1 - He is a habitual under-achiever

2 - He consistantly over-sells the opposition and under-sells his own team

3 - He is a spectator / part time cheerleader within his own organization instead of being the supreme leader.

1. Home win/loss record.
2. Gets team to play to the level of competition.
3. Is too loyal to underachieving players -- i.e. will not make a change no matter what.

Two more good reasons...

1. He lost badly to a team we should have beaten at HOMECOMING in front of a good turnout of our fans.

2. He lost badly in our house to a team we whould have beaten who took our CUSA spot.

Fire him and let the baseball coach take over for the rest of the season ! ! ! !

3. In all truthfullness, he probably really doesn't want to be in Ruston anymore.

My three reasons:

1) Bicknell has killed our chances for CUSA: He has allowed the Tech football program to sink badly during years when we need quality wins and improved attendance the most to earn a CUSA invite. I'm convinced it will NOT happen on his watch.

2) He embarrasses our university too much: It doesn't matter if it is against a BCS team like Auburn, or tradition poor programs such as UTEP, SMU (2002), Rice (2002 & 2003) or even Div 1AA Sam Houston State (2000), Bick always seems to play DOWN to the competition, even when he has superior athletes on his roster. Or in the case of Auburn and Miami, he just phones it in.

3) We're no longer making progress as a program: This is the "tell all". If you are not moving forward as a Div 1A program, you are losing ground. Tech desperately needs to be winning AT LEAST 7 games per year and attending bowl games annually. We also need to be hosting BCS teams in Ruston or Shreveport, and we need to be building better attendance and support. Under Bick, none of this is happening. Consequently, it's time for us to move on.

It's time to give somebody else a shot.

DR & JO probably thought today was an outstanding success.

Nice tailgate participation, especially considering the weather.
Great attendance, especially considering the weather.
DR got to strut across the field at halftime in his missfit suit; and, got his name called out on the pa system.

What do they care about the score ??

I was listening to some folks on the E Side who were leaving with about 5 minutes left. Somebody hollered out, "Why you leaving ??" They responded, "Tech Sucks".

Go Figure.

I figure, when they said "Tech Sucks", they were mebbe referring to jb3, JO, and DR; tho, not necessarily in that order ??
