    Team physical conditioning is declining

At the beginning of the season our players were in super condition. You could tell that Yancy Thigpen's summer routine was in full swing.

However, we're now starting to see Tech players laying all over the field. UTEP didn't have this problem today.

I'm not talking about Ryan Moats. There were at least a dozen Tech players who looked like they were just worn out, out of shape, and not wanting to compete any longer.

Why is our physical conditioning degrading as the season progresses? It isn't because we're still playing Top10 programs like Tenn, Auburn, and Miami.

I feel the same way those players do!

A bye week may help get them into the gym and a bit of rest from hitting and being hit.

Moats is getting too banged up because we have been over using him. It was a huge mistake to play him against SMU, he was 50/50 going into that game and he really needed the rest. Plus SMU is bad enough for us to beat them without him anyways. Playing in your home town is not worth ruining your career. Moats is a warrior, who always wants to play injuried or not, but it is the HC's job to tell a player that he needs to heal up. But that SOB is trying to use Moats to save his job and he is willing enough to ruin Moats's career to do it. We need to give a backup RB reps for every game, every other team does it. But we only do it when Moats is too injuried to play.

You are exactly right, Bicknell will run the legs off of Moats if it will save his job. Bicknell has a history of over playing certain players and then not playing others at all.

One reason our QB's are so inept this year is because Bicknell wouldn't take McCown out of a game no matter what.

Brazil is another example, the only ball he touches should be ones he knocks down or intercepts - he has no business fielding punts, but will Bicknell try someone else - no!

What's up with all the arm tackles????

I remember one in particular where our guy ran like half the field speeding towards this guy and then hit him and the guy bounnced right off and ran for 30 yards.

    Hit somebody, square up!!!!!

That being said the season is not over, get up, work it out, and lets' beat Hawaii!!
