What can be taking so long?

I am waiting for the headline report on CNN to report on what the fine Major said today in his press conference. USATODAY even said that "Some" weapons were moved, thereby leaving the door open for Kerry to wiggle his way out of his stupidity.

When will the REAL reporting start to happen? Are they merely DNC hacks (always were) and don't even care anymore about the appearance of fairness?

Dont tell me ANYTHING about Fox news being biased, because they headlined both the missing weapons and the Major's press conference. The dem party is the most corrupt political organization in America.

CNN aired the entire press conference. Still no answers. Pentegon states that they are still investigating. There was very little new in the news conference.

So, original report says 380 tons are missing.

Followup says Russians took them before the US got there.

Followup to that says "Nuh uh, here's video proof"

And now we have the most recent follow up saying US troops destroyed the weapons... However the Fox News report I read said that troops destroyed 250 tons... That leaves 130 tons unaccounted for. That is still a LOT of explosives.

"We removed over 250 tons of plastic explosives and destroyed it" and "it would have been impossible for someone to loot the explosives while US military convoys were passing the dump" are not answers?

But I have to give CNN credit for balanced reporting now. First they reported from the Bush campaign and said how Shilling did not show up then described an incident about confetti during one of his speeches. Then they showed some protesters at Bush's speech holding up signs that read "388 tons", ending in one of the protesters being led out, but not before CNN's crack camera crew got him on tape saying, "I'm a Republican and I am voting for Kerry."

Then they went to the Kerry campaign and, with stars in their eyes, said something about how Kerry will no longer be mentioning the tons of missing explosives because he has already WON that argument (they still didn't mention the press conference), then talked lovingly about Bruce Springsteen and showed Edwards talking about Halliburton.

If you can't see that, you're not looking.

These explosives are not WMD's are they? What is the definition of WMD? I thought since Iraq had no WMD's that they were not a "real" threat. But they can have thousands of tons of explosives? It's a little confusing. Note: I'm not taking sides here but just wondering.

The UN agencies own documents contradicted the 380 number.

400,000 tons is a lot more explosives than that, which is what we have destroyed in Iraq. That Iraq, by the way, would not only still have those explosives, but they would also still be in Kuwait if Kerry had his way. Remember, he voted AGAINST the 1991 Gulf war, which is what made the inspections possible in the first place (as a part of their surrender agreement).

    Man, this is EASY.

That's what I don't understand, the democrats said there were no WMD's and now they're saying we let some of them get away. It's very confusing???

These were not WMD's and there is still no answer for the missing explosives. Those were inspected weapons by the U.N.

The amount of missing explosives is troubling. How can we NOT know where they are? It is the question itself that is troubling. That is what was said by the Kerry campaign. Please use what Kerry actually says and not what the Republican spin says he says. It is two different things.

Yes, it is the same for what Bush says vs. what the Democratic spin says he says.

We do not have ANY real news anymore. It is ALL spin from both sides. I long for real news and reporting.

Inspected IN SPITE of Kerry's "NO" vote on the 1991 Gulf war. That's not spin.
