Maybe Gaspard is walking away knowing that the team at large is in a particularly bad place and Burroughs doesn’t have the replacement players in place. Other than 2nd base every position is going to be filled by a new player and that includes Comeaux who was essentially a replacement player last year. The fans are going to find out real quick if LB’s contract extension includes his paying him in advance for the coaching job he’s going to have to do next year and beyond.
Whenever you get a new president, new AD, new campus marketing chief it's always the first thing on their to-do list . . . "Hey, let's waste some precious start-up time and redesign all the color schemes and logos. Let's have our own identity."

The good news is with Judy in charge it is increasingly hard to find any CUSA sports on TV etc..... so maybe no one will see it.
