Look at the ad that Troy State is running in papers across Alabama. Has anyone ever seen anything like this before? Did we try something like this when we were 9-2 and stayed home?

La Tech has never been a school that would take a chance or go out on a limb with a new idea. They need to see someone else use it then they'll decide to run with it. So cutting edge we are at Tech.
Guarentee you we will use this same ad concept if the occassion ever arises in our near future.
If you're going to use it, you need to learn to recognize it too. Good post though.
Don't think we'll have to worry about that for a while...at least not next year.
And....an advertisement in color, too. I bet they really paid some money for that! An investment?!?
I love what Troy State is doing. I've watch a couple of their games and have seen some of their marketing. If someone were to write a book called "How to Break into D1A", this would be the case study. They've got a great product, great marketing, and have secured corporate sponsors.
We could learn a lot from the Trojans. And we had better before they leap frop us for the next conference bid....
Absolutely right. And the number one thing that Tech needs to follow Troy State's lead on is to get a corporate sponsor to foot the bill for the needed stadium renovations. No way Troy State gets the facility it has now without Movie Gallery.
By the way, Troy State and UNT BOTH benefitted from not playing each other in the Sunbelt this year. Obviously, if they had played each other, one of them wouldn't be going bowling.
