Prayer request

To all prayer warriors. I'm going in the hospital tomorrow to have a biopsy done on my lung. A black mass was discovered several months ago and we haven't been able to determine what it is, so they're going in to take a sample. I've had some breathing problems for the last year or so. Maybe this will be the first step to get that fixed. Anyway, I'll be at Our Lady of the Lake for a couple of days and then be out of work for about a month because of where they have to go in to remove a sample. Supposedly, they have to cut through muscle which will take time to heal. I tried to tell them that I had no muscle left. Anyway, keep me in your prayers. Have a Merry Christmas and remember, Jesus is the reason for the season.

I had a similar experience about five years ago, where I started coughing up blood on Valentine's day while out on a date with my wife. After going to the hospital and having a chest x-ray, they found a grapefruit sized mass in my right lung. They performed emergency surgery (a lobectomy) on me due to the excessive blood loss, and thank God it turned out to be a benign mass. The recovery sucked for a couple of weeks only because of the soreness, but I got a great testimony out of it and a new found relationship with the Lord. Since then I'm in better shape than I was before and, believe it or not, still have 100% lung capacity.

What time is your surgery and I'll be praying for you at that time? If you don't read this before then, know that I prayed for you first thing in the morning.

Anybody hear from Todd today?

Hello everyone!

I hope everybody is having a blessed and safe holiday. Stopped by the house to clean up and feed the animals and decided to check the board since Todd said he had posted about having a biopsy.

Surgery went fine. I didn't even get to watch a full movie. He went in at 7:20am and the surgery was finished by 8:00am. I was shocked. Todd is still in the hospital. Spent the night last night and will spend the night again. He has a tube in his side to drain the fluids and found out today that it will not be coming out until tomorrow. If everything continues to go well, he will be able to come home tomorrow or Thursday. He is very very sore. When somebody cracks your ribs open, that tends to be the case I would say. Please continue to keep him in your prayers. He is very short of breath and needs to get his breathing down and of course is very sore and of course tired. We will be getting prelimanary results back this week and the cultured results will take 6-8 weeks to get back.
