I agree. Maxie Lambright takes a back seat to NO ONE. Other than Pat Patterson's one-game head coaching career in 1979 (a win over NLU), Lambright is the winningest football coach in Louisiana Tech history.Originally Posted by Dawgpix

Over a 4-year period from 1971-74, Lambright's Tech teams were 44-4, with at least a share of 3 national titles. He built the nations longest college football winning streak at 23 games during 1973 and '74.
Maybe this will give WAC fans some perspective: Boise State's Dan Hawkins had a win streak ALMOST as long as Lambright's before losing to Louisville in the Liberty Bowl last week. Oh......and Lambright coached LA Tech to a 24-14 victory over Louisville in the Indy Bowl in 1977.

earlier in the thread, there is mention of jumbotron possibly coming along with the turf. What's the thinking on that now? Is it actually going to happen?
Thanks... If our silly governor figures out a way to lose the Saints to L.A., then I guess those other four schools will be screwed...Originally Posted by razor1722
