Re: Potential Of Running Backs Next Year

This discussion is a waste to time. Fact is, nobody has a clue what to expect until AFTER we sign our 2005 recruiting class and AFTER we have our spring game. Some of the '04 guys won't be back in '05, and some new guys will show up unexpectedly for spring and fall.

The fact that our starting TE is out is important.

We only use a TE to block anyway. JK (well not really) > we need a good one to throw to for sure.

Spiegner had quit some time ago.
I am sure we have a JUCO TE in the bag by now

As much as we used Capps last year, just put some fat linemen at the end and let him block. If Richardson is moved, he needs to be moved to FULLBACK! Don't stick him somewhere on the field where we'll never hear his named called except for the occasional holding or offsides call.

He left the team either before the season started or very early in the season.

Don't we sign so many JuCos because we need to fill "immediate needs"? With our starting TE out and Day apparently moving back to DL don't we have an immediate need at TE?

The simple thing to do is pick out one of our agile back up OTs and move that person over to TE. Our TEs are just an additional blocker anyway. Petey can spare one of his tackles for that purpose.
