Truly sad news. I just learned the same from Ronny Walker. We need to keep his family in our prayers.
I'm an asshole! What's your excuse?
Will do.
Prayers and well wishes from the BBB family.

Investigators are still at the scene of a crashed Civil Air Patrol single-engine 182 Cessna carrying two people. The plane crashed late last night near the Ouachita/Morehouse parish line.
After nearly 11 hours of searching with boats and 4-wheelers, police and rescue workers found the crash site at 7:10 a.m. in Wham Brake, Capt. Danny Acree with the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office said.
The aircraft was in about eight inches of water with two bodies at the scene, one in and one outside the plane. The two are believed to be Arlan Rawls and Tommy Ray Nichols, both majors in the Civil Air Patrol, said Lt. Suzann Ford, public information officer with the Louisiana Wing of the CAP.
The last dispatch from the occupants was notification that the plane would alter its course. Air traffic controllers took no distress signals from the craft.
“From what I heard, there was no mayday at all. They went below radar and all radio contact was lost,” Ford said.
The CAP training flight was apparently practicing approach maneuvers when the crash occurred. Both men were commercial instruments rated, and were experienced and well-trained pilots, Ford said.
Cleve Norrell, manager at Monroe Regional Airport, where the plane took off, said investigators from the Federal Aviation Administration are on the way to the scene. The National Transportation and Safety Board may also be involved in the investigation.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family members, we are shocked and saddened,” Ford said.

Tommy Ray was one of my baseball coaches growing up. He was truly a fine man! He will be greatly missed. My heart and prayers go out to the families of both in the crash!
Tommy Ray was a true friend of mine.
He was Louisiana Tech ALL THE WAY.
I've attached a photo of him and his son Colby Ray at a Tech game five years ago.
Tech has lost a true supporter.
