Re: 2005 & Future Football Schedules

I couldn't remember the thread that i downloaded the WAC schedule from, so this will do. I took what someone else had done and in about 2 hours, made several adjustments. Each team has their own sheet, so you can enter all WAC scores, or just a few. Everything is now color coded by (close to) school colors and you also now should only have to enter the points for and points against. The formula is in place to where it should generate the WIN or LOSS and even the points difference.

Please hold all "Damn, you musta been bored" comments for they are true, I had insomnia and the internet was down... it was either Infomercials, or this!
If you see anything that could use further improvement or suggestions just let me know, and i'll see what i can do.

I couldn't upload it, files to big.. if you would like a copy, email me @ DocMarvin362@gmail.com Thanks!

It is my understanding that we will play Clemson next year at home, probably in Shreveport. We will also play 13 games with 8 on the road.

man that is a tough schedule. i hope @ cal does get postponed and we have the brains to replace them with a home game. open up with a 1-AA, i dont care, but get a 6th home game. 5 trips to the west coast, 2 to the east, and only one that is anywhere close.

Louisiana Tech joins schedule for 2006

Receiver Grant likely to miss opener with separate shoulder
    By JON SOLOMON
    Staff Writer

CLEMSON — Louisiana Tech will be Clemson’s 12th opponent in 2006, giving the Tigers an easier nonconference schedule than this year.

Louisiana Tech, Florida Atlantic, Temple and South Carolina will be the Tigers’ nonconference games. Florida Atlantic was recently added, and Temple has been a “2-for-1” series that starts this season.

The Tigers play Florida Atlantic, Louisiana Tech, South Carolina, North Carolina, N.C. State, Maryland and Georgia Tech at home next season; Boston College, Florida State, Virginia Tech, Temple and Wake Forest are on the road.

Dates will be released in January after the Clemson-South Carolina game has been finalized. The schools are discussing a new date, either Thanksgiving weekend or earlier in the season, due to the impact of 12-game seasons starting in 2006.

“When you start talking about Thanksgiving weekend, then your university administration and your board has to be part of that conversation and decision,” Clemson athletics director Terry Don Phillips said.

Louisiana Tech, a member of the Western Athletic Conference, went 6-6 in 2004. Clemson defeated Louisiana Tech 49-24 at the 2001 Humanitarian Bowl and 33-13 in a 2002 regular-season game.

Clemson guaranteed $500,000 each in payouts to Florida Atlantic and Louisiana Tech, senior associate athletics director Dwight Rainey said. That is the maximum Clemson will pay a visiting school. A seventh home game increases Clemson's gate receipts between $1.3 and $1.5 million.

Grant doubtful for opener. Wide receiver Kelvin Grant is doubtful for the season-opener against Texas A&M because of his separated shoulder.

“I thought Saturday it was something that would just hold him out of the scrimmage,” Bowden said Monday. “After we got X-rays back, it looks like now he will possibly miss the first game.”

Grant participated in conditioning drills to stay in shape. Rendrick Taylor moved to backup “X” receiver position behind Aaron Kelly in place of Grant.

Concerns at center. Bowden is growing concerned without starting center Dustin Fry, who is nursing a pulled hamstring. Fry was upgraded to a green (limited contact) jersey and said he hopes to practice today.

“I’m a little concerned at this time it must be pretty serious because he’s a pretty tough guy,” Bowden said.

Bowden said Roman Fry, Bobby Hutchinson and Barry Humphries are struggling with quarterback exchanges under center and from the shotgun. If Fry remains out, Bowden said whomever snaps best would start, “even if he can’t block anybody.”

Extra points. Starting middle linebacker Anthony Waters is out indefinitely turf toe. ... Cole Downer has moved ahead of Bobby Williamson as first-team tight end.

LOL, I haven't posted here in so long, my account was terminated.

Your game against UCF in 2006 is away, not home. I suspect you may buy out of the game if you're over-scheduled, plus that's a lot of away games. The contract was signed over a decade ago, so the buyout $$$ is probably cheap. Hope it doesn't happen though. I'm looking forward to ya'll returning to the Citrus Bowl.

    Go Knights!!!

I believe that NCAA rules say that we must have 5 home games so this probably isn't final by any means.

You're correct, but the NCAA put a two-season postponement on that rule. UCF only has four home games in 2005.

Clemson.....oh that's just great. I'm looking forward to another 1:00 kickoff and the 98 degree heat. I promise you the only reason why we're going back there is because DR went to grad school there. Surely we could have found somebody else to play that is a little closer to us and not as good as Clemson, couldn't we?
