Coaches get hired away from mid major programs to major programs. I guarantee you that you do not want our ONLY Nationally prominant program to be a stepping stone.

Like it or not that is how HE views it -

He let it known that he was LOOKING to get his name out on the market - after the end of last season and again before this season began - he WENT looking -

We can't compete with the LANDGRANTS and what they are willing to pay - if he can cash a big check - more power to him -

Also, I would venture to say that Tulsa's mens program is viewed as a NATIONAL program and that program has been a stepping stone since Nolan Richardson was there - to Tubby Smith to Bill Self to Buzz Peterson - and they pay ALOT more than we would ever dream of paying to a basketball coach, let alone a WOMEN'S coach -

Being a stepping stone is not such a "bad thing" -

The administration let it be known after Leon retired the first time that they were not committed to paying "PROMINENT NATIONAL LEVEL PROGRAM DOLLARS" for the HC of the program -

We can't expect for people to work at a drastically "discounted" rate because its TECH or because they have ties to the program or any other reason -

The day's of finding a Leon Barmore, Maxie Lambright and Gravy Patterson and keeping them for CHICKEN FEED are long since past and they will NEVER be back - its time we wake up and realize that -

We lost to UCSB in the first round the year before that. UCSB was a MUCH lower seed than us (unlike lsu and Temple). That was under Leon WITH Cheryl Ford and Amber Obaze - just to name a few. I don't blame Leon for it, and I sure as HECK don't blame Budke for this.

That season and game were ruined by one player - Escense Perry.

She was a cancer that really cost the Techster program.

He interviewed yesterday. Good luck Budke, job pays 230+ compared to 140 or so, that is a lot of money and he would be in the best or top 2-3 leagues in Big 12. He has to go and he will probably take our entire staff minus Katie if they want to go.

It would mean that the rest of the country has caught up or has passed us. What kind of tradition does OSU have? We are in decline. Something major must happen to get this program back on track.

the administration is very aware for T-Spoon. She was strongly considered for the job that the girl from FSU got as recruiting coordinator. The only problem was BUDKE did not agree so he got his girl.
