I heard during the audio stream in his press conference Dr. Reneau prefaced his hiring announcement with two tidbits:
(1) Tech has received an A+ from SACS on their accreditation review; (I'll give him a thumbs up); and
(2) A TIME Magazine reporter has been on campus for two days for a story on admissions and graduation rates. (Hope the timing doesn't backfire. Hopefully it'll be just about academics and not on the media outcomes on the women's national championship game.)

Wrong as usual Bear Cub! "Once a Techster always a Techster". Probably wore that color for good luck as well. Your green and gold colors, as well as your athletics, has not brought much to the table for the Bears historically. With that stated, my son just graduated from Baylor. I was VERY IMPRESSED with the school through his years and remain that way today. BAYLOR IS AWESOME and has a true VISION on where they wish to go! Reneau was a joke before all of this came up. Just ask the presidents of the CUSA schools.

Yup, I agree. It has gotten to the point where any big decision that comes up in the future I will have no expectations. Whether it has come to CUSA, Football, and now WBB having an inclinkling of expectation that Dr. Reneau will do anything above the bare minimum is too high of an expectation. This fellow is very pompus in that he is self contratulatory and ignorant of his failures even when they are splashed all over national T.V. He never takes accountability for what are his ultimate failures and I can only hope that the coaches of whatever team are doing more to hold themselves accountable. I mean our coaches must have some pride and desire for accomplishment and I hope that makes Coach Long successful regardless of the incompetence of Dr. Reneau and the administration around him.
