OK, I know what good things he did.

He made it where the Republicans could gain control of the house and senate for the first time in many many years. While his popularity soared because of his "bubba" persona, the Dems in congress bore the brunt of the public angst.

He made it abundantly clear that character does matter by showing what happens when you have none.

After watching him script virtually all of his "candid" encounters with the public and journalists (the one at the "D" day celebration where he was biting his bottom lip and fighting back tears while fixing the cross on the beach that he had one of his aides move just a moment before comes to mind), nobody calls Reagan just an actor anymore.

He, along with Bush's dad, showed what can happen to you when you try to get along with and appease your enemies in a "kinder/gentler" approach to foreign policy. NEVER cut your military spending as drastically as they did in a time of peace, because there are too many out there waiting for you to become weak.

I'm sure there's more, but it's time for me to eat lunch and these things are making me lose my appetite.

If Bill Clinton is an a$$hole then GW Bush is what comes out of a$$holes. Bill Clinton got a blow job, well i personally could not give a damn. However, when I see my country slowly becoming an imperialist (taking over Iraq and Afghanistan).... that worries me. When I see my country forcing other to become democratic at the barrel of a gun.....that worries me. When I have a President that says he always error on the side of life when he was the leading executer in Texas and slaughtered thousands of Iraqis and Afghans (not to mention the torture of the people at Guantanimo Bay) that troubles me. When the first lady goes over to Afghanistan to pay lip service to the women over there about education, when the teachers here are getting used and abused every single day (I am a teacher)............that worries me. When gas prices are sky high after we already have taken over a major oil producing country (What the hell did we get out of the Iraq War).........that worries me. I could go on and on.

I'll take the guy getting the blow job while maintaining a strong economy and strong ties to most of the other countries in the world any day.

Thank you for your service as a teacher. What countries pay a total compensation package for teachers that is better than the U.S.? Likewise, most teachers pay are linked to their respective school district, the school district's main source of income are LOCAL taxes. How is Laura Bush a former librarian a slap in the face to Afgan educators?

Gas prices increases are due to 2 main reasons. The price of crude and the cost to refine that crude. I'm not absolutely sure of the bottom line figure but the U.S. as of last week only had 176 refineries. There are numerous articles in many trade publications about the shortage of refining capacity in the U.S. Are you a math teacher? Do the math...a shortage of capacity means people who consume gasoline will need to pay more for that consumption......SUPPLY vs. DEMAND. A good portion of my family earn a living in the oil and gas business.

They are there for a reason. You believe that we slaughtered Afghani and Iraqi people...what about Americans who actually HAVE been slaughtered in terrorist actions? What about their families and loved ones?
