Dwayne, Sik, Dirty, glm, markay, they are all nice people who are very knowledgable about Tech. You'll even like Cartek after a few months, but you've really gotta drop it. Nothing you said was news to anybody. We know that administration sucks and we'd love to be rid of them, but there's no need in raising your blood pressure. Ole Bill Shake-spear wrote something about an idiot being full of sound and fury, signifying nothing. My fellow tech fan, don't let this describe you. Just to let you know, I have heard from a source that a former Techster from the early 80's who is now a coach was interviewed for the job. Take that news however you want.........
From listening to the press conference audio, Dr. Reneau said some candidates were interview via telephone.

Yeah, I got one back before midnight too. Coach Long was very appreciative and gracious. I know he appreciates all of our support.
Is this normal operating procedure? I think that it sends the message that we are not really interested in you, but we want to say that we interviewed you. Not a good way to go in my book.
Certainly it must be normal procedure. Haven't you been interviewed for a significant position over the phone by the president and the chairman of the board?
Cost was no object. We have $100,000 break up fee from the prior contract to spent.
I have been interviewed by phone by a whole Board of Directors before. It was a long distance away and that was the first interview. The second was face to face.
Uhhh, no I have not. I obviously have squandered my Tech heritage and have not risen to the heights that others have.Seriously, how many did we actually have in for a face to face? Harper and Long I know about, did we have Wagner in as well?
On a related note, is there anyway (FOIA?) to get a list of those who applied for the job and if we talked to them or not? If Tech is one of the prime jobs in the country as I think it is, we should have had a bunch of applications come in. I would like to see who applied for the job.
