LSU dean arrested on child porn charges

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — LSU's associate dean of students for judicial affairs has been arrested and charged with possession of child pornography after an employee reportedly found images of three nude boys on the printer in his office.
The worker turned the pictures over to James C. Welles, who allegedly told her there was "nothing to it," so she contacted LSU Police, police spokesman Major Ricky Adams said Thursday.
"Fortunately for us, she was a good investigator," Adams said. "Before she handed the original over to Mr. Welles, she actually photocopied it and we found the original inside his home during our search."
Adams said all four of Welles' office computers had numerous amounts of child pornography on them. The arrest warrant states "a series of images on the hard drive that depicted prepubescent males engaged in sexual activity with adult males" were recovered.
Welles is in East Baton Rouge Parish Prison and bond has been set at $25,000.
LSU spokeswoman Holly Houk said Welles has been suspended with pay and that an "administrative review" has begun into the allegation. Welles could be fired as a result of the review, though Houk did not say how long the investigation might last.
Welles has worked for LSU for more than four years, supervising discipline of students accused of academic or criminal wrongdoing.
In 2003, another LSU employee, Ron Brown, who worked in university relations, was arrested for allegedly possessing photos of nude pre-pubescent girls on his work computer. He was fired a month later. Brown pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in October to sexual exploitation, enticing for illegal sexual activity, and receiving and possessing child pornography. He has not been sentenced.

He'll probally get a slap on the wrist like the people in the police jury scandal in Oauchita Parish. All polititions protect each other. They NEVER get what they deserve.

He'd been previously convicted of a felony....seems he inadvertently left that off of his resume! That should be very embarassing for LSU.
Actually, he is an embarassment to humankind in general and my gender in particular...Originally Posted by markay714

Personally I recommend the method we used on my grandfather's horses.
One sit on his head, one on his legs ....
and use a dull pocketknife.
There's no need to make this quick.
That's why I suggested the "rubberband" method -Originally Posted by Dawg04

Of course instead of a rubber band, it would be better to use the more MODERN slip tie that you use to tie off electrical wires and such...
