Update: Westbrook will sign the Eagles' one-year tender of $1.43 million for the 2005 season by June 15 if there is no long-term agreement, the Philadelphia Daily News reports. Recommendation: Sources inside the organization say Westbrook will not show up for minicamp starting April 29, but that the running back has decided he will play out the 2005 season under the one-year contract and hope to become a free agent after the season if he is not signed to a long term deal by the Eagles. With no other teams offering him a deal and with the drafting of Ryan Moats in the early rounds of the 2005 NFL draft this past weekend, Westbrook decided against holding out. His agent, Anthony Agnone, said talks continue toward Westbrook's goal of a long-term contract but indicated the two sides are far from agreement.
