ESPN2 Picks Up Tech/Fresno State

RUSTON - Louisiana Tech's regular season finale against Fresno State has been moved to Friday, Dec. 2 at 8 p.m. CST in order to be televised by ESPN2 as part of the Western Athletic Conference's 2005 ESPN package.
The Battle of the Bulldogs was originally set for Saturday, Dec. 3 but was moved to accommodate ESPN.
"Anytime you can get your program on national television is a huge benefit," said Tech head coach Jack Bicknell. "You can not put a price tag on that kind of exposure. We have always had a great rivalry with Fresno State and this should be a great game for TV."
Although Fresno State leads the all-time series against Louisiana Tech 5-1, the Louisiana-based Bulldogs won last year's contest in dramatic fashion, defeating the 17th ranked team in the country 28-21 at Joe Aillet Stadium.
Although winless against Fresno State in games played in California, Louisiana Tech has played tough falling 16-6 in 2003 and 38-28 in 2001.
Fresno State returns 17 starters from last year's team that posted a 9-3 overall record and finished tied for third in the WAC with Louisiana Tech. The Bulldogs defeated Virginia in the MPC Computer Bowl, giving Fresno State a six-game winning streak to end the season.
A number of other Louisiana Tech games are expected to be produced and televised by ESPNU, ESPN Regional, Cox Sports Television and other regional outlets.
Last year, 11 of Louisiana Tech's 12 games were televised either nationally, regionally or locally.

I thought Boise State game at Tech was being televised as well, but don't recall network. That will be 2 tough games back to back at end of season now shortened by a day, but worth it for TV exposure.

We need to have a plan to market this game and start working on it. That is the first Friday after classes begin on Wed. for the winter quarter. Students will PROBABLY be staying on campus that weekend after a long stay at home between quarters. We need to pull them to JAS for Friday night and give them a reason not to be running off to Funroe or someplace else to celebrate being away from home and around friends again!!!

Yeh she actually ended up marrying a guy from Enron, Eric Bass. They are up in Conn right now, he jsut graduated from Yale and they are moving to NYC. She was workign for Diageo as a tax acct. Now she will have to find a job inthe big city here in a little while. She actually worked at Enron for a long time after the fall because they were selling stuff off and still needed tax accts. But yeh she is diong well.
