J.R. Williamson - Tech or LSU?

I came across a Topps pro football card for a Oakland Raiders lineback named J.R. Williamson. It lists Tech as his college but then separately it says "J.R. was named to All-Gulf State Conference Team at LSU. Was he a Bulldog or Tiger? I'm not familiar with the name.

BULLDOG.

#52 his senior season at Tech.

Played with Billy Laird, David Lee, Charlie Bourgeois, etc., etc.....................

Last game of his senior season he intercepted a pass and returned it 87 yards to the n.e. La. st. college 5. (Tech won, 28-7)

thanks for the info. I've been working for years to collect every Bulldog and Lady Techster who played pro. I just didn't want a 'Tiger' in there.

John Robert is no Tigger!

John Robert was the starting center for Mickey Slaughter and Johnny Hudson in the fall of '61. He was a very good linebacker also. He started in front of my roommate, Billy Ware, from Selma, Ala.
JR was a BULLDOG AND A GOOD ONE.
