In Super Bowl XXII Timmy Smith came out of nowhere and rushed for a Super Bowl record 200+ yards and helped the Redskins win the championship. Did y'all know his son is a runningback for the Dogs? Before today I didn't.

Timmy Smith (the dad) was also arrested and sentenced for transporting a whole car load of drugs through Texas. In fact, I think he ended up doing some prison time.

If true, Josh's father denegrated himself, not HD. In the interest of full disclosure, I see nothing improper about HD's comment.
The question is whether it was necessary. If someone on the board were to quote you would you then want another member to immediately chime in with something about your family's past.
I agree, while it may be true, it was unnecessary.

The fact that Timmy Smith is a two-time convicted drug dealer who has served prision time is pretty damn significant. To omit such a reference on this board would be a ludicrous oversight.
Then again, some of us are adult enough to handle it.
