I'm not saying that JB3 will not be back next year, but assuming that the admin goes looking for a new HC, as many on this board would like them to do, who would you like to see on our sidelines in 2007?

Chris freakin' Hatcher....... or a certain coach Ditka heh heh
I would not mind Randy Fichtner the OC for Memphis. He is a southerner and has an offense reminicent of Air Tech. Not to mention that he coached the guy who will probably be the 1st RB taken in the draft next year, so he can work with out great RBs too. Here is waht Fox Sports had to say abouot him: "Sans the recognition other offensive coordinators receive, Fichtner has quietly assembled the Tigers into an offensive juggernaut since arriving in 2001. His spread offense has rewritten the Memphis record books the past two years, and his handling of Danny Wimprine helped turn the quarterback into one of the most prolific passers in school history."
I'll come back to this later once I get more than 10 seconds to think about it, but for now...
Bo Pelini?
Yeah, I can see where bringing in a coach with a background defensive could be a good move. He definitely has enought experience.Originally Posted by Luminaire

Sorry about taking relief in your cheerios.
What happened to the attitude, "We will conduct a NATIONAL SEARCH & money is NO OBJECT!"
No offense Mick but we could have that attitude if we the fans gave more. LSU never possessed the money to pay Saban, they raised it. We need to give give give. Don't let them have the excuse of no money, then they will have to be accountable for poor decisionsOriginally Posted by MICKEYS14
We don't need a national search. Just take the job if it becomes available.Originally Posted by MICKEYS14
I'm expecting you to talk up Tech to Urban Meyer, and he'll join the Bulldog coaching staff for 06/07. Right? (Especially if he wins a NC quickly. He'll need a good challenge. Enter former JB3-coached Bulldogs...quite the challenge!)Originally Posted by SummaCumDoggie
TD113-you missed my point. That very statement was publicly made less than a couple of months ago by our "nano-President." After making the statement, we brought in one national candidate who we knew we couldn't hire because of a buy-out & conducted the remainder of our national search on the phone. If "money is no object," why would we need to raise more money in order to hire any new FB coach? Or, is "money is no object" applicable to only one sport at our school. I can assure you of this: If we DOUBLE our fundraising results, the money will NOT go to coaches of any sport at Tech due to a variety of reasons not the least of which is fear of the Faculty Senate.

Surely you don't believe that hiring the asst. coach was in the best interest of the Lady Techsters. DR said that so he wouldn't be as embarrassed after all of Kim's comments. He had no intention of hiring the best - he took the cheapest. I hope for TECH's sake that he can coach, but, that was not the priority for DR.Originally Posted by MICKEYS14
