Where are the people that want to yell about the Umpires???? The second base umpire made an incorrect call, he should be fired. OH WAIT!! The Astros win, so the Umpire nagging won't come this time. Fair-weather babies.
Man, I am SO pumped up about this!!! It's times like this that make me wish I still lived in Houston to enjoy more of the excitement! The coffee pot discussions today would be GREAT! Well, on second thought, maybe I DON'T want to live there again, just visit on days like today!

The tag hit the arm near the wrist band. You can even see how the runner swung his arm after it was hit, and the runner tried to sell the tag was at his chest. Watch it closely and watch the arm after the tag or attempted tag.Originally Posted by DocMarvin362
The umpire could not see the chest. He could see the arm.
We won by four anyway. The grapes are sour.
i will have to watch that tag again as I was watching the chest tag not the wrist.Originally Posted by Soonerdawg
also, it was one out and it didn't matter as the Cards were havign problems scoring runs last night....
GO ASTROS!
There is a difference between what is an incorrect call, and what is a confusing call. You live with incorrect calls that is part of human nature and baseball. What was bad about the Angels/White Sox game is that the call was confusing. That doesnt excuse the catcher, but the rest of the fielders saw the home plate ump do the strike call and rock back for the out. It is really hard to place blame everywhere, somebody from MLB probably should have told him to change because they knew it would be confusing one day. Oh well, the White Sox whipped ace anyway.Originally Posted by DocMarvin362
He missed the tag. Probably wouldn't have made any difference.Originally Posted by Soonerdawg
