Good public policy would naturally be generated in the public sector. No arguments there.
The democratic process is an ugly one that often transforms good ideas to steaming pile. This is because instead of having a few smart people make a decision, you have a multitude of people (of which a large portion aren't educated, informed, or perhaps just dumb).
I'm not decrying democracy, but it's just another reason that the final result of public policy is usually less efficient than the business world.
Social security and medicaid shortfalls.......
The underfunded pension issue......
Deficit spending.....
The larger the gov gets, the more stupid it generally gets.
Small towns and municipalities tend to be more efficient with resources. I think it gets worse the higher up it goes.
Communism works great for a small group. Not so much for large entities.
