SSSWWWEEEEEEEEETTTT!!!!! Wonder if they are already working on Tulane's fight song and such. It wouldn't take a college band more than an hour to pretty much have it down.

Tulane and Marshall to Face Off in Mobile on October 29 Game Will Mark Fourth Different Home Site for Displaced Green Wave

    Oct. 5, 2005
MOBILE, Ala. - Forced from its city, its school and its stadium by Hurricane Katrina, the Tulane Green Wave will play its fourth home football game of the 2005 season in its fourth different city when they play host to Conference USA foe Marshall on Saturday, Oct. 29 in Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala. Kickoff time for the contest, which will be broadcast live on College Sports Television, is 6 p.m. (Central).
The game will mark Tulane's first "home" game outside the state of Louisiana after playing Mississippi State in Shreveport (Sept. 17), Southeastern Louisiana in Baton Rouge (Oct. 1), Houston in Lafayette (Oct. 8) and UTEP in Ruston (Oct. 14). The Tulane team is headquartered in Ruston, La. for the fall semester, attending classes at Louisiana Tech University and using the athletic facilities, office and meeting space provided by the Bulldogs.
"We are excited about the opportunity to play at Ladd-Peebles Stadium," said Tulane Athletic Director Rick Dickson. "As a team that is homeless right now, we are truly looking forward to playing in Mobile, where the entire city and county have embraced us with open arms. This might not be our permanent home, but Mobile is our home for a weekend, and we couldn't be happier. We're especially excited to play at Ladd-Peebles Stadium since its recent renovation and addition of FieldTurf."
The Green Wave evacuated New Orleans on Sunday, August 28, one day in advance of Hurricane Katrina, which devastated the area on August 29. The Wave's home stadium - the Louisiana Superdome - also sustained damage during the storm and in its aftermath.
The City and County of Mobile have stepped forward to offer the use of Ladd-Peebles Stadium as a home site to Tulane, and the Green Wave will receive all ticket proceeds. Tulane Athletics staff will work with the staff of Ladd-Peebles Stadium to run the operations of the game.
"We have all been deeply touched by the losses that our neighbors in Mississippi, Louisiana, and especially South Mobile County, have felt," said Braxton Counts, Chairman of the Ladd-Peebles Stadium Board of Directors. "We are more than willing to open our stadium and our city to Tulane and to Marshall, and look forward to an exciting game between two strong conference rivals. We are especially grateful to the City and County of Mobile for providing the resources necessary for Tulane University to make Ladd-Peebles Stadium their home field for this game."

Tickets for the game are $25 for sideline general admission seats and $10 for end zone general admission, and will be sold via Ticketmaster at www.Ticketmaster.com, by calling 800-488-5252 or at Ticketmaster outlets in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. Tickets will go on sale early next week.
Tulane football season ticket holders who have purchased their 2005 season tickets will be able to pick up tickets for the Marshall game in Mobile the week of the game at a site to be determined. All Tulane students with a school ID will be admitted free, and representatives from the Salvation Army will be on hand at the game to accept donations for hurricane-stricken families on game day.
Tulane Athletics has received an outpouring of support from cities, athletic departments, conferences and facilities throughout the nation ever since Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath forced the University to suspend classes for the fall semester, scattering Green Wave student-athletes to four different campuses at Louisiana Tech (football, women's track and field), Texas A&M (men's basketball, women's soccer, women's swimming & diving, women's volleyball, men's and women's tennis), Texas Tech (baseball, women's basketball) and SMU (men's and women's golf) as they continue to compete for Tulane. Dickson and a central office staff are working in Dallas.
Tulane President Scott Cowen's directive to Tulane athletics teams to "Carry the Torch, Be the Face and Represent the Name" of Tulane University throughout the fall semester will be illustrated on every Green Wave uniform by a colorful patch and is the number one mission of all Tulane teams.

Tulane to Play Final "Home" Football Game of 2005 in Monroe, La. Green Wave Schedule Features 11 Games in 11 Different Stadiums in 2005

    Oct. 20, 2005
DALLAS - Tulane and Tulsa will play the Green Wave's final "home" game of 2005 at Louisiana-Monroe's Malone Stadium on Nov. 19, meaning the Green Wave will complete the regular season by playing 11 games in 11 different stadiums. Kickoff for the Conference USA game will be at 1 p.m. (CST).
The Tulane football team, displaced from its city, its campus and its home stadium by Hurricane Katrina this fall, is headquartered at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, La., which is located in north Louisiana, just 32 miles from Monroe.
"I'm happy that it's over," said Tulane Athletic Director Rick Dickson of the challenge of scheduling home games without a home stadium in 2005. "We started out by announcing the site of the Mississippi State game (in Shreveport) just nine days before the game. Today, we're a full month away from the Tulsa game so I know there has been progress."
With the placement of the final home game in Monroe, Tulane has completed its fall sport scheduling process and will now turn its full attention toward finalizing the 2005-06 basketball schedules.
Monroe will be the fifth Louisiana city to play host to a Green Wave football game this fall as previous Tulane "home" games have been played in Shreveport (Sept. 17 vs. Mississippi State), Baton Rouge (Oct. 1 vs. Baton Rouge), Lafayette (Oct. 8 vs. Houston) and Ruston (Oct. 14 vs. UTEP). Tulane will play its next "home" game in Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala. on Oct. 29 versus Marshall.
"The fact that we were able to play any type of `home' schedule at all is a tribute to the communities, universities and athletic departments throughout Louisiana, and in Mobile" Dickson said. "The response and support we have had from the schools around the state has been tremendous."
"We are glad that we can assist Tulane in any way possible," said ULM director of athletics Bobby Staub. "This has been a trying time for their athletics programs and we're glad we are able to provide a site for their game with Tulsa."

The Green Wave evacuated New Orleans on Sunday, August 28, one day in advance of Hurricane Katrina, which devastated the area on August 29. The Wave's home stadium - the Louisiana Superdome - also sustained damage during the storm and in its aftermath.
The Green Wave will receive all ticket proceeds from the contest, while Tulane Athletics staff will work with the ULM staff to run the operations of the game.
Tickets for the game are $25 for premium general admission seats and $10 for standard general admission, and will be sold via Ticketmaster at www.Ticketmaster.com, by calling 800-488-5252 or at Ticketmaster outlets in Louisiana and Mississippi. Tickets will go on sale early next week.
Tulane football season ticket holders who have purchased their 2005 season tickets will be able to pick up tickets for the game in Monroe the week of the game at a site to be determined. All Tulane and Louisiana-Monroe students with a school ID will be admitted free.
