If you've never seen "Fog of War", the documentary, you should. In it, Robert McNamara is interviewed and gives insider perspective on world-shaping events in the 60's. In one segment, he talked about a conference he had with Fidel Castro in the 90's. They were talking about the Cuban Missile Crisis. At the conference, McNamara asked him three questions:

1) Were you aware of the missiles in your country, despite your denials when they were there?

2) If you did know, would you have recommended that they be launched?

3) If they had been launched, what do you think would have happened to Cuba?

Castro's answers were:

1) Yes, I knew about them
2) Not only would I have recommended a launch, I DID recommend a launch
3) I knew at that time that Cuba would've been totally destroyed.

We were dealing with a guy who was willing to holocaust his own people in order to strike the U.S. That is the definition of a madman.

I believe we are dealing with the same mentality over in Iran. Unfortunately, we don't have anyone more reasonable above Ahmadinejad pulling the strings with whom we can negotiate, like Kennedy did with Kruschev.

This guy will have to be dealt with, and unlike Saddam poses a legitimate threat to the U.S. At least Saddam was corrupt, and could be bought off. This guy is a believer, and that spells trouble for us.

The Jews are not promoting brain washing the children in military

Iranian president issues veiled threat to Bush, official news agency reports

Iran's official news agency reported Wednesday what appeared to be a veiled threat from hard-line President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to President Bush.

During the same speech Wednesday, Ahmadinejad reiterated a proposal from last month to debate Bush, suggesting on Wednesday that the United Nations would be the ideal venue, his official web site reported.

The official Islamic Republic News Agency said Ahmadinejad had warned in a speech that anyone who refused to accept an invitation would suffer a bad fate. It said the statement was a reference to Bush's rejection of an invitation by Ahmadinejad for a televised debate.

The official news agency did not provide any exact quote from Ahmadinejad containing those words, but reported that he said them. It quoted Ahmadinejad directly as saying: "This is not a threat by me. This is a threat by the entire universe. The universal trend is against suppression."
