Trouble in Iraq, Afghanistan, and elsewhere...

There were threads on this topic but I couldn't find them with a quick search, probably because they are so far back in the forum given things had been mostly okay under the great leadership of President Trump. But now with our (the US's) new policies courtesy of Biden & Crew, trouble is stirring...let me add it is true Trump wanted to start a withdrawal of some kind from the Middle East in general, and certainly Afghanistan in particular. So, a present day President Trump might be following the same kind of policy. But, Trump got blamed for everything, no matter what! so it must be fair game to blame the sitting POTUS for whatever is happening.

Afghanistan - first, as an avid student of history, I have to say I agree with getting out. No world super power has ever enjoyed success occupying Afghanistan. Even Alexander the Great's campaign came to a screeching halt there. We should do our best to help evacuate those Afghannies who helped us (and their families) because they will most certainly be murdered by the Taliban and other evil forces. I feel for the good people, especially women, who will once again have all their rights stripped away.

Iraq- encouraged by what they are seeing in Afghanistan evil Persian-backed forces have stepped up their attacks on US and allied troops. Recently several helicopters carrying Moooslim terrorists were shot down by US automatic anti-aircraft batteries, those Phalanx Gatlin guns, in this case mounted on a track-vehicle. The gun opened up when radar picked up the low-flying copters. It was a night attack. No mention of casualties but it is doubtful any of the scumbags survived. US officials said this was just the latest attempt by Persian-backed militia groups to attack US positions. Said militias and their mouth-pieces have stated they hope to drive US forces out of Iraq, and plan to do so by inflicting US casualties causing an outcry in the US and the public demanding we get out of Iraq too.

Meanwhile the gallant Kurds are standing firm in Syria and Iraq...

    1) Agree entirely about Afghanistan. Time to go, or build the biggest base we can afford there and run the place. I also agree that THIS is where our next barrage of refugees SHOULD come from. Perhaps we can just airlift them to the Mexican border so Biden will let them in.

That said, the symbolism of Biden declaring we would leave by September 11 was cringe worthy. Even when he does something right, he looks like a moron.

    2) They are, along with the few Americans left there. One of my relatives is there.

We should carve out a section of Iraq and Syria and declare it Kurdistan, and we should build another huge base in that new country where we can keep an eye on things. If we need money to do so, reduce the size of the base in Germany (especially as they willingly become dependent on the very nation we are there supposedly protecting them from). Their GDP is sufficient to provide themselves protection against them.

Go big or go home. I hate our guys (and girls) being used as international police. Once the idiot in the oval office finishes empowering all the evil-doers in the region, we are likely going to have an ugly job ahead of us.

That idiot is still in the Oval Office, but it's better for Biden than Harris being in there.

Pentagon document warns world is moving closer to a nuclear war: Russia & China build up.

Russia, China, North Korea and Iran developed and increased their high-tech nuclear weapons programs since 2010

A recently released Pentagon report outlines four of the US's major enemies' nuclear weapons capabilities.

    Russia:
Russian strategy and doctrine emphasize the potential coercive and military uses of nuclear weapons.

The country has upgraded its Soviet technology by developing new delivery capabilities.

The country has intercontinental-range nuclear weapon systems, including a hypersonic glide vehicle; ground-launched cruise missiles, a nuclear-armed a undersea autonomous torpedoes.

China: 'China continues to increase the number, capabilities, and protection of its nuclear forces.'

It has developed its 'most advanced' submarine-launched missiles and is developing a bomber, which would allow the country to fire weapons by land, sea and air.

North Korea: Over the last few years, the country has 'accelerated' its pursuit of nuclear weapons and dramatically increased its missile flight testing, most recently including the testing of intercontinental-range missiles capable of reaching the US homeland.

'North Korea's continued pursuit of nuclear weapons capabilities poses the most immediate and dire proliferation threat to international security and stability.'

Iran: The country has the technology to develop a nuclear weapon within a year of when it decides to do so.

Iran's 'aggressive strategy and activities to destabilize neighboring governments, raises questions about its long-term commitment to forgoing nuclear weapons capability.'

These guys are like democrats. First they want to destroy it, then rule over the rubble left behind.

And we, along with our great European friends, keep funding them.

Invading Iraq and then leaving office without having a long term occupation plan in place was a bigger mistake. Just made Iran's influence bigger.

Did I read that our senile idiot just lifted sanctions on Iran that allows them to resume oil trading?
