Most covenants cover permanent changes to property. I have never come across one (and that's not to say they don't exist) that has language about what is obviously a temporary thing. Like an inflatable snowman at Christmas time. Of course, I suppose many (most) folks would find a display of profanity as offensive, even if it were temporary. Maybe a display on Valentine's Day....ya know, "I'm the love machine!" Something pornographic.... I can see an HOA getting up in arms about that.

I can certainly see an HOA setting dates, like Christmas decorations can be up from December 1 thru January 6 (the official 12th Day of Christmas).

These rules are typical in modern planned developments around Houston suburbs. Hell, the rules around mine prohibit flying a flag of a university. They like everything to look uniform. It is ridiculous.

They are working very hard to try and shame us. We must be doing something right.

How hard are they working? Can you give examples?

In the last 2 weeks I can think of 3 examples.

    1. A father/daughter dance in New York that was cancelled because the school system said it was gender specific. If it was a parent/child dance they might have gone along with it. Many people opposed it because it represents the traditional family(read Biblical) and conservative values.

    2. A well known Creationist, Ken Ham had a speaking engagement cancelled in Oklahoma at a public university. The student body prez contacted him to let him know that an LGBTQ group was against him speaking and that he was no longer invited, in spite of having a signed contract. He wasn’t going there to talk about sexual identity, he presents the evidence for Creation. They were so threatened by something Biblical that they wouldn’t allow it at their supposedly open minded institution of higher learning.

    3. An atheist/free thinking group(is there such a thing?) in the Midwest opposed a Martin Luther King/Black History Month celebration in New Mexico because they played gospel music.

Now, this isn’t the same as all the Christians being killed, babies being slaughtered by so called doctors, or other atrocities, but it is persecution nonetheless.

    1. Has nothing to do with religion. They would have allowed the dance to go on if they would have kept it inclusive but the organizers decided not to. Their choice to cancel.

    2. The speech is still on for March 5.

    3. Did they cancel the speech?

Seems like you mostly oppose atheists expressing their point of view, because them doing so is persecution. Surely you can appreciate the irony in that.

I don’t oppose atheist right to express their point of view. I oppose Christians not getting to do things they want because Atheist demand that it be cancelled. I don’t care what an atheist does, just give me the same courtesy.

    Re: More persecution of Christians

The other thing that I don’t understand is the double standard of being offended. Those who oppose traditional conservative values seem to think they have a right not to be offended. But all they do is offend people who they don’t agree with. It’s okay to be offended. Different points of view make the world go round. People need to grow up and realize that groups can hold events and exclude anyone they want. And our colleges need to be made to teach all sides of any issue. Their personal bias aside due to them being more concerned for the student getting a well rounded education that allows them to develop their own opinions. But that is too scary for progessives. They lose their base when the brain washing stops.

Oklahoma would not be a good state for a bunch of state employees and snowflake protestors to force their personal views like they do in California.

Let em do it. Just gives more evidence to how intolerant and closed minded they are. I’m fine with them making themselves look stupid.

They will never be able to upstage Ken Ham in intolerance and closed mindedness.

Does Ken Ham destroy public property and riot when he doesn't agree with something?
