I support Central and South Americans immigrating to the US. They are mostly Catholic...and they love soccer!!!! Both big plusses to me. BUT! I support LEGAL immigration. Not sure why that distinction is difficult to grasp.

I'm into scenarios recently...try this one. Let's say I know of someone who has a family and has tried his best to provide for them, but luck just hasn't been on his side. He comes to me, and says, Hey, Mr. D80, I have this opportunity to make some good money, but I need a little help. I say, okay, what...? He says he can get into selling drugs, just for a little while, mind you, just until I get back on my feet and retire some debt. Will you help me, please, Mr. D80? As much as I might feel for the guy, might hurt for him and understand his family's situation, I can not, I will not support illegal activity.

In a similar way, I understand and hurt for many, many people who want to (need to) immigrate here, but I can not, I will not support illegal activity. We are a nation of laws. If we start picking and choosing which laws we ignore, pretty soon that line will blur in places that will have serious ramifications. That said, that is why I support reforms to our legal immigration processes. Make it so people will CHOOSE to follow the legal immigration path because it makes the most sense for them.

    Amen!

And I support Trump 100% on this issue and on his immigration stance as well.

Same sex relationships are a sin. Murder is a sin. You don’t change your sex or gender with surgery. Choosing to be called the opposite of what your chromosomes dictate is crazy. It’s still wrong to kill those people.

    Re: More persecution of Christians

Why should this judge, or any judge, recuse himself on some issues? The expressed concern is over same-sex marriage. Well just as those who support that arrangement have a right to that opinion, so too do those who oppose it.

For the record: I think gays have as much civil right to enter into a legal contract of marriage, as do regular people. Okay...I'll take back that "regular people" commentary. But, churches and other religious organizations have every right to believe what they want, as do the membership.

If said judge should recuse himself in cases involving a question of marital status, then so too should those who support gay marriage. One set of opinions doesn't trump the other. Either everyone participates or no one does.

And...like I said, while I support the strictly civil/legal aspects of a marital contract for everyone, I understand those who have an opposing viewpoint. And this is why, with the new Senate in January, Trump and the GOP should ramrod all these appointees through. Have a massive list of VERY, ULTRA conservative judges nominated for however many openings there are, a master list. And in ONE swoop, on the Senate floor, by simple majority: "All those in favor of confirming this master list say aye!" The ayes have it....and just like that EVERY judicial opening is filled!

No debates. No stupid 3-ring circus committee meetings/hearings. Just an open, transparent vote. And then, when the libs are having a meltdown on MSNBC and CNN, simply say, "Well, you libs can thank your party leadership for this. For two effing years, TWO YEARS!! some of these benches have been empty solely because the Dems want to play politics. Oh, there could have been many moderate judges appointed, but the Dems continually blocked that process, hoping to wait until 2021. Welp! sorry."

And this is why the GOP has no interest in me. I am for playing hardball....just like the Dems do. The GOP are a bunch of wimps!

I agree 100%. I've emailed both Senator Cassidy and Senator Kennedy, as well as my wimpy Republican congressman and asked them all to stand up for our rights with the same zeal and ruthlessness that the Democrats in Washington employ for their constituents.

At one time, rational people deemed that a mental health disorder. Now, not only is it not considered one, it's celebrated. What a crazy, mixed up world we live in.
