This makes me wonder if they just copied the CBS predictions....Houston loses out to Memphis in the New Orleans Bowl, and the Dogs go to Motor City. ......Keeping fingers crossed. This DOES make sense....for Tech, anyway.

Yes, in this scenario Southern Miss stays home and Houston goes to the Ft Worth bowl.
This is what really should happen, especially since USM lost to both Memphis and Houston down the stretch, making both UH and UM bowl eligible at 6-5. If USM wins either one of those two games, we aren't in this situation because one of those 2 teams aren't bowl eligible.
