Forget about the Champs Sports Bowl, #4 Memphis and #8 Gonzaga are playing basketball on ESPN2. It's a great game so far with a lot of emotion. Memphis has packed the FedEx Forum and lead 33-30 with 3:30 left in the first half.

Gonzaga leads 40-35 at the half. Morrison and Carney are AWESOME!! Morrison has 21 points so far. I think Memphis is in a little foul trouble, but I think they have the depth to make up for it. Looking forward to an exciting second half. Maybe Memphis's depth will play a factor in the second.
Can't forget too much since Tech opens at Clemson September 2. Switching back and forth....Originally Posted by BLUE

It's gonna be a classic!!
Dicky V said to "Call your friends. We are watching one of the greatest college basketball players of all-time." Morrison has 32 of Gonzaga's 62. Memphis just retook the lead.

Memphis is starting to pull away now leading 76-67 with 1:39 to go.
Gonzaga can't buy a basket now.
7 Clemson defensive starters will be back. Won't be easy with a new QB...hopefully we can say that for Clemson as well as Tech.Originally Posted by BLUE
Already missed 21 points in the Insight Bowl...could be 28 before they finish in Memphis.

Final
Morrison didn't score a point during the last 10 minutes of the game.
Memphis is something special.
They just wore Gonzaga down.
I hope this boosts our RPI.
And Rutgers leads 17-7 over Arizona St. I didn't realize Rutgers was in a bowl.
It will.Originally Posted by BLUE
RPI is 50% your opponent winning percentages and 25% your opponent's opponent's winning percentages. Both factors improved for Tech with the Memphis -Gonzaga game.

Well, I guess I was the only one who enjoyed this final four caliber basketball game. It was a dandy.
This game was sold out two weeks ago. Couldn't find a ticket anywhere!!Originally Posted by BLUE
Of course, Gonzaga fans were paying $125 for $12 tickets. Damn scalpers!!
I'll bet you right now our offense will be even more predictable than ever (if that is possible) for that game since we have an inexperienced QB.Originally Posted by RealityCheck
