Second-half rallies
Given how dominant the Trojans been this season, it's easy to forget that they trailed four times at the half this year. It's also easy to forget that every week they got every team's best shot.
"You saw that with Fresno State, who after us completely went downhill, and that's a really good football team," Leinart says. "And that's a perfect example of really giving us their best shot and giving everything they can to beat USC, and then they don't have enough to beat (Louisiana) Tech and Nevada, teams that they should beat by 20, 30 points. That's why what we've done is so special."
After the Trojans, who were trailing in the fourth quarter against Fresno State, won 50-42, Texas coach Mack Brown called Carroll to congratulate him and asked him about managing such a streak.

Yea it is easy for Leinhart to say that, but the fact is that Fresno has not beat us in 2 years. I do agree with somewhat on the fact that each team gives them their best shot. Fresno lost 3 games after the USC loss, Oklahoma lost several games, be it the next season after the destruction. I would not be surprised if tonights game has the same result as last years.

Good point, Double D. We have more name recognition than most people realize and the win against Fresno in front of a national tv audience was huge for our program. Highlights of that game should be used in commercials next season.

Which should go to show people like Champion110 that the mood of the board doesn't affect the outcome of ballgames. Some of you guys are so superstitious, it's spooky.
