Why have any limits on so-called eligibility? Eligibility for what? To not attend class, to change schools every year, to play college football 🏈 for 7 years? It’s become a joke. These are not “student athletes” they are independent contractors. Treat them as such.

Independent contractors typically only get paid based on performance. I could go for that.

NEWS: The NCAA Division I Board of Directors has granted a waiver to permit athletes who attended and competed at a non-NCAA school for 1 or more years to remain eligible and compete in 2025-26 if those athletes would have otherwise*used their final season of competition*during the 2024-25 academic year, and meet all other eligibility requirements (e.g., progress toward degree, five-year period of eligibility).

Why count any years against any athlete who plays outside the P4 conferences? We are all second rate at this point.
