The AP poll still has us at #24, even though several programs above us lost last week. I think the coaches poll will move us up a little.

What I don't understand is that they say the reason we don't get more recognition is because of our weak conference. But we've always been in a week conference. In years past, we could have two or three losses on our schedule, in the Sun Belt, but still be in the top 10 or 15.
According to Charlie Creme's latest predictions, he has us as a #12 seed, saying because of our weak conference we shouldn't improve on that even if we win the remainder of our games.

It will all depend on our rpi. The WAC is very weak this year - weaker than the belt was and is. There is a huge drop off after Fresno State. Charlie Creme is not always correct, though. If we win out, I would expect around a 8 or 9 seed.Originally Posted by techfan4life
Never fear, though. Those 4 through 8 seeds can be beaten.
I would rather be an 11 or 12 before an 8 or 9. The 8 & 9 seeds get the shaft in the second round having to play a 1 seed. If you are 11 or 12, beat a 5 or 6 in the first round and I think 3 in the second round. To me, I think that is an easier route to the Sweet 16.
Good point. As a 12, the first round is a little tougher, but the second round is better than if you are an 8 or 9. I think we will be an 8 or 9, though.Originally Posted by RXDAWG
