And I don't believe in repeating the same thing twice or being redundant.
Heck, I was surprised by our defense. I LOVED seeing Paul get that one steal and a fastbreak. The big guys don't get that very often. He usually has to dunk it over like 3 guys. Doesn't get the freebies like that.Originally Posted by arkansasbob

I think I meant the steals. That kind of D is a lot flashier than the rough and tumble D we usually post.Originally Posted by arkansasbob
Should we have been suprised by the steals? What are steals really than "rebounds"? Putting Paul in passing lanes you expect to get some "rebounds." It is great to see Paul being effective in other ways. Would have been beter for his draft stock if he could have gotten a triple double (or even a double double).Originally Posted by arkansasbob

Super Major Congrats to our Dawgs ! ! ! !
The double-double would have been nice, but I think he showed the scouts a different skill set tonight than they have been used to. Maybe if he comes back next year, he can perfect the whole package. Would it not TOTALLY rock to see him pull big numbers in one game in points, blocks, steals, and rebounds. A quadruple-double. Hmmm....Originally Posted by Juice752
i think the scouts already know he can rebound. he showed them some really sweet footwork the few times he got the ball one-on-one. plus the quickness and hustle getting the steals was great (although nobody in the nba does that).Originally Posted by Juice752
The ESPN guys, Larry Farmer and Rob Stone, did not paint an encouraging picture for Millsap's NBA hopes for this year. According to those guys, Millsap is hanging his hopes on a scout camp this spring. He has no agent. And, some NBA scouts say Millsap is not draft material. I guess, not even late rounds. I don't believe that, but that's what was said, so perhaps Paul should just stay at Tech one more year.
(oops! this being discussed on another thread)
Well, people were wrong about Karl Malone and PJ Brown too.
Tech is much improved over the past few years and they looked good against SIU but what we really need we still don't have imo, a win over a good team. We still have to win the conference tourney.
Luckily, the RPI doesn't agree with you. I don't think SIU was that great either, but their RPI was in the mid-20s. RPI now has them in the 30's, but it bounced us up into the lower 50s...well within the range of the top 65 teams.Originally Posted by shrevedog
